Zaha is a born leader. She is a founding partner of Zaha Hadid Architects and a recipient of the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize. Zaha is internationally known for her architectural, theoretical and academic work, which she also extends into her charitable and philanthropic missions. Zaha supports Maggie’s Caring Cancer Centres, which provides support and assistance to those whose lives have been touched by cancer. As the architect of Maggie’s Fife, one of the Maggie’s Caring Cancer Centres, Zaha says, "Anybody who knew Maggie Keswick Jencks felt at home in her presence. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special by giving them the time and space to express and be themselves. As a friend of mine, it was important that this unique quality was in some way translated into my design for Maggie’s Fife.”
