BIOGRAPHY | Uma is a versatile and acclaimed actor who inspires others not only through film but through her involvement and advocacy work with children and families in poverty. As a board member of Room to Grow, a charity that provides aid to low income families, Uma raises awareness about the critical importance of the first three year’s of a child’s development. Room to Grow provides early support to parents and babies born into poverty by providing parents access to clothing, books and toys for their children as well as helping parents develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to assure that their children fulfill their emotional, intellectual and physical potential.
