ELIZABETH JORDAN

CHARITY | Women for Women

BIOGRAPHY | Elizabeth aims to facilitate social change through photography. Her pictures – depicting the plight of people in war-torn and developing countries – were featured recently at Donna Karan in London through a project that supported Women for Women International, an organization that helps women transition from victim to survivor to active citizen. "I have the great honor of meeting and talking to the women I am photographing, and I am personally so inspired by their survival instinct and their ability to move forward from their grief to become self-reliant,” Elizabeth says. Elizabeth has traveled to Russia, Burma, Bosnia, Ghana, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Haiti to shoot projects that range from sports to health to micro-finance and education.
