This past week was all about design. I spent my time with my team at Donna Karan, pouring over new looks, draping fabrics, dressing fit models and weaving together the beginnings of a beautiful collection.
In the mix of fabrics, fashion and design, I was able to squeeze in some more press for the Connecting the Dots Exhibition (where I was surprised by a visit from my son Corey, which totally made my day! We grabbed a photo together in front of Stephan’s motorcycle… it was really special.)
To balance out the business of my work schedule, I attended a few fun and inspiring happenings throughout the week. I participated in a screening and panel discussion for the film, “Escape Fire.” It was my second time seeing it and I was again struck by how the film offers such an important commentary on our healthcare system. Please, please, please go and see it. (http://www.escapefiremovie.com/).
I was more than happy to join my friend Deb Jackman over the weekend to celebrate her birthday before launching into another week of business. There’s lots on the calendar this week… between the Annual Global Green Awards to heading down to Miami for Art Basal… it’s going to be busy!
I’m back in design now and am excited to continue to bring this collection to life. Stay tuned!
